A couple of months ago, Shae and James ventured up to Sydney to attend the annual Sustainability Summit and Awards hosted by Architecture and Design.
Whilst we were thrilled to be there, it's undeniable that some of the key messages were quite alarming and, as an industry, it's clear that we've still got an incredibly long and obstacle laden road ahead of us.
What was amazing to see though, was how many intelligent and passionate people, throughout the industry, are working hard to make a difference. Even more inspiring was the eagerness of everyone to work together to tackle the issues. Ultimately, we left with hope underlying an inspiration to keep acting! We were also excited to have our project 50/50s House Shortlisted in the Awards program, and whilst we didn’t win, we were thrilled to have the project recognised for its merit in the field of sustainable design.
